Pretty much everyone grew up watching Disney films, whether it was Snow White, or Frozen - but when we watched them, its fair to say we never really contemplated the age gaps between some of the most famous couples. Well, the age differences between some of our most beloved Disney characters certainly became a talking point following an infographic posted on Reddit.

Shared by StoryIQDataStories, the post revealed some interesting insights when it comes to the ages of some staple Disney characters. With the caveat that some of the ages have been estimated, the biggest gap comes in at a surprising 17 years. Want to find out which Prince and Princess have the largest age gap? Take a look...

The age differences between Disney couples:

Hercules and Meg

One of the biggest age gaps is between Hercules and Meg, with Hercules thought to be 18 and Meg 28 in the 1997 film. Although Meg continually rejects Hercules throughout the film, she relents at the end!

Linguini and Collette

Chef Linguini is thought to be about 19, and Collette is thought to be 26.

Rapunzel and Flynn Rider

This couple from Tangled are thought to have an eight-year age gap, with Rapunzel being 18 and Flynn being 26.

Cinderella and Prince Charming

The Reddit post estimated that Cinderella was 19 and Prince Charming was 21, so not as much of an age gap between these two!

Tiana and Prince Naveen

Tiana and Naveen were also thought to be 19 and 21 in The Princess and the Frog.

Anna and Kristoff

Elsa's younger sister Anna in Frozen was thought to be 18-years-old in the events of the first film, and ended up with the lovely Kristoff, thought to be aged 21.

Beauty and the Beast

Belle is thought to be around the age of 17 in the film, with Prince Adam as the Beast being 21-years-old.

Tarzan and Jane

When Jane Porter travelled with her father, she was thought to be about 20-years-old, whereas Tarzan was 18 - however, there's no way to know his actual age since he was raised by gorillas.

Pocahontas and John Smith

Pocahontas' love story with John Smith is one of the only Disney relationships not to have a happy ending. In the film, she's 18, and John Smith is 20 - but in real life, John Smith and Pocahontas are thought to have only met a handful of times.

Princess Aurora and Prince Phillip

This couple in Sleeping Beauty had been betrothed since Aurora's birth! Aurora was 16 and Phillip was 20.

Mulan and Li Shang

Mulan was thought to be just 16 when she chopped off her hair and took her father's place in the army, and Shang was 19.

Ariel and Eric

Ariel was just 16 in The Little Mermaid when she made a deal with the sea witch Ursula so she could pursue Prince Eric, who was 18, on the land!

Aladdin and Princess Jasmine

Aladdin was 18 by the time his story began in the 1992 animated original, and Jasmine was just 15 when they bumped into each other at the market.

Snow White and Prince Florian

With the largest age gap of all, these two have by far the biggest - and most questionable - difference in their apparent years. In Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs, Snow White meets a handsome prince after he overhears her singing in the woods. When she's poisoned by her evil stepmother, the Prince comes along and kisses her to wake her up. Snow White was thought to be 14 in the film, and the Prince was thought to be 31.

Most of the couples included on the infographic are in the late teens and early 20s, with Anna from Frozen and Belle from Beauty and the Beast, 18 and 17 respectively, coupled with partners just a few years older than them.

However, towards the bottom of the chart are some very young couples, including The Little Mermaid's, Ariel and Eric, who are just 16 and 18, and the youngest, other that Snow White, being Aladdin's Jasmine who is only 15-year-old, who is with 18-year-old Aladdin.
