Scarlett Moffatt releases statement over claims she's had plastic surgery

Former Gogglebox and I'm A Celebrity Get Me Out Of Here star Scarlett Moffatt has taken to her social media accounts to hit back at recent claims stating she's had plastic surgery.

Scarlett, who is currently on Ant & Dec's Saturday Night Takeaway, was recently accused in the press of buying a 'new face', with a professional surgeon giving his opinion on Scarlett's appearance.

This has led the 27-year-old to hit back in an angry statement, where she reveals she's never had a nose job, fillers or botox.

Posting a cute photo of herself as a child, Scarlett wrote, 'This is me age 6. I have the same button nose, chubby cheeks & monobrow that I do now (just now highlighter and contouring exists ha) I also have the same attitude in that life is measured by how many times I laugh a day and how much love I have in my heart. because that’s all that truly matters! Ladies, women, girls... despite what most media thrusts upon you ... we are more than an aesthetic shell. ' sic

She then added, 'I like to stay positive & focus on my fellow females achievements... as woman we are more than our looks, weight, clothes, our partner!! Stay strong & let’s not let this 2018 social conformity of behaving a certain way bring us down!! In the words of little mixes jade “we can wear what we want & twerk if we want” #girlpower sic

Fans of the TV personality were quick to show their support for Scarlett, commenting on the photo with praise for her. One user wrote, 'Scarlett you are one beautiful person inside and out... Always be yourself because the world is a better place for it. You have become a role figure for lots of young ladies and they couldn’t get a better one'. sic

Another added, You're a fabulous girl.. Well said!', with a user called wolfstarr_red saying, 'You are a beautiful young vibrate woman. Please ignore the haters. X' sic

Meanwhile, with Saturday Night Takeaway returning to our TV screens this weekend, Scarlett is set to return for her role on the show. When it was first announced by ITV that Ant McPartlin would not feature on the show, Scarlett was a firm favourite to present the popular show alongside Dec Donnelly.

However, it looks like both Scarlett and Stephen Mulhern will continue with their usual roles, with James Corden now being the favourite to help Dec out during the final show of the series in Florida next week.

Scarlett will appear on Saturday Night Takeaway this weekend.
