It may have only been six days since the Love Island final on Monday (29th July), but the Islanders are wasting no time in sorting out what they’re going to be getting up to now the show has finished.

It's already been revealed Curtis Pritchard is set to feature as a dance coach on Ru Paul's Drag Race UK and it's reported he's also been approached to be a RECEPTIONIST on the BBC's latest dance programme The Greatest Dancer.

And the next Islander to announce some amazing news is Maura Higgins, who has joined ITV’s This Morning as one of their new presenters!

The Irish beauty, who came fourth on the hit ITV2 show alongside Curtis, has excitedly revealed that she is set to host phone-ins, which will show her dish out some of her straight to the point advice that she became known for during her time on Love Island.

She will also present a new segment titled ‘Maura Than Meets the Eye’, where she will be sent all over the country to take on challenges!

Talking about her new role, Maura said, “I’m getting flutters about joining This Morning. I can’t believe it. It’s beyond my wildest dreams.

“I’ve grown up watching Phillip Schofield, Holly Willoughby, Eamonn Holmes, Ruth Langsford and the team. Mad to think I’m now part of that iconic family. Can’t wait to crack on”.

This Morning editor Martin Frizell confirmed the news, adding, “Maura was the stand out star of this year’s villa antics with her straight-talking opinionated views”.

The Islander is set to make her This Morning debut this Monday (5th August), alongside Eamonn and Ruth to discuss her new role, as well as talk about her experience in the villa.

She has remained silent on social media about the job, but there’s no doubt her fans will be SO excited!

Congratulations Maura!
