Holly Willoughby reveals heartbreaking family death with emotional post
She's attending her nan's funeral today (Tuesday 12th March)
It was reported earlier today that popular TV presenter Holly Willoughby would be absent from today's (Tuesday 12th March) episode of This Morning, and now the heartbreaking reason why has been revealed.
Holly, who will be replaced by Rylan Clark-Neal on today's show, took to her Instagram page to share a lovely photo alongside her late nan, revealing she will be attending her funeral today.
Holly wrote, 'Today we say goodbye for a little while to my beautiful Nan... go and be with Grandad... he’s been waiting for you... love you... miss you... 💕'. sic
Fans were quick to comment on Holly's photo, sending their condolences to the presenter and her family. One user wrote, 'Sorry for your loss 🙏🏽☹️ God bless you and be strong!', with another adding, 'Rest in peace beautiful Nan 🙏🏻💞'.
A third then wrote, 'Sending Big hugs hollie 🕊💫x'. sic
After Rylan Clark-Neal confirmed earlier this morning that he would be stepping in for Holly on today's episode of This Morning, when the show started at 10.30am, Holly's friend and usual co-star Phillip Schofield confirmed the presenter was absent because she is attending her nan's funeral.
Holly, who presented This Morning on her own last week, is known for having a close knit family, with the 38-year-old often posting photos with her mum, sister and nan to her Instagram page.
When she was presenting I'm A Celebrity in place of Ant McPartlin last year, Holly also flew her three children, Harry, nine, Belle, seven, and Chester, four, out to Australia with her, so she could spend time with them.
Our thoughts are with Holly and her family at this tough time. ❤️
