Mum-of-five Katie Price revealed to fans on Monday 13th July that her eldest son, 18-year-old Harvey Price, is in intensive care, and now she's given a further update about his condition.
Sharing a throwback snap of herself and Harvey as a baby, Katie revealed her son is still in intensive care, but he's 'more comfortable'. The 42-year-old also documented the struggles of not being able to be by his bed side due to the current pandemic.
Katie told her followers, 'Hey Thank you for all your messages , I can confirm Harvey still in intensive care , he is more comfortable, it’s hard as due to limited visiting hours and covid I can’t be by his bed side , but he is being brave and strong , and able to face time him , I’ve let him know he has so much love and support and thank you 🙏 ❤️❤️'. According to reports, Harvey was rushed to hospital over the weekend with a temperature of 42 degrees, with a representative telling Mail Online that 'the next 48 hours are critical' and that he's being tested for Coronavirus.
A representative told the publication, ''He has had chest pains and a temperature. An extremely high temp. It was 42. You could cook an egg on him. It spiked quickly and he's had major problems breathing.
"The next 48 hours are critical. Harvey just really needs to do well over the next couple of days. He is having loads of tests today and being watched around-the-clock."
Katie, who went public with her new boyfriend Carl Woods last week, took to her social media accounts on Sunday evening (12th July), writing, 'I can confirm Harvey is in intensive care and in the best hands. I would like to thank the ambulance services and the hospital staff for the quick response and making him stable. X'. (sic)
Harvey's brother and sister, Junior and Princess, were quick to comment on their mum's post, with 15-year-old Junior writing, 'Love you big bro ❤️🙌🏽'. (sic)
Princess, who recently turned 13, added, 'I love you harv soo much ❤️'. (sic)
Katie's new boyfriend, former Love Island star Carl Woods, then added, 'The comeback is always stronger than the set back. You got this mate.' (sic)
Princess also shared her own post about her older brother, writing, 'I love you Harv soo much! Your going to be fine! Think about the positives not the negatives 💖💖💖💖💖'. (sic)
This is the second time in a number of weeks the youngster has taken ill, with a worry for Katie when Harvey was taken to hospital during Princess' 13th birthday party earlier this month.
As well as being partially blind due to having Septo-optic dysplasia, Harvey also suffers from rare genetic disorder Prader-Willi Syndrome, diabetes, and under active thyroid, and he was also diagnosed with Autism.
Despite his various conditions, mum Katie has been left extremely proud of her son, with Harvey often showing off his drawing and amazing keyboard skills.
During the Coronavirus pandemic, Harvey designed his very own t-shirts from a rainbow drawing, alongside a picture of a frog. Katie wrote on Instagram at the time, 'Harvey has used his drawing skills to design his own NHS Rainbow T-Shirt available now @teejunkieofficial 🌈💙'. (sic)
We wish Harvey a speedy recovery! ❤️
