The legendary Craig David joined us at Hits Live Birmingham on Saturday 16th November, smashing his amazing set to the sold-out crowd at the Resorts World Arena. The '7 Days' hit maker joined presenter Greg Burns before taking to the stage, chatting all about his amazing career and his plans for 2020.

Of course, as Craig has been in the world of music for an incredible 20 years, we were keen to find out what the maddest thing that's ever happened at one of his shows....And his story certainly didn't disappoint.

Speaking to Greg, Craig revealed he actually helped two girls get engaged at one of his shows in Kew Gardens.

He said, "I love the proposals, there were two young girls that came up to my show at Kew Gardens and I heard they wanted to… well, the one girl, Jade, wants to propose to her girlfriend.

"So I kind of asked someone can you go and find them, they are right in the front. We got them to the side of the stage, I finished singing Rendezvous one of the songs for the first album, got them to come on stage. She said her bit, she said yes, it was a beautiful moment and when you’ve got like 10000 people going crazy, screaming and clapping I mean those are the moments I live for its incredible."

Aww! 😍

Craig also opened up about his incredible career, admitting he still gets butterflies before taking to the stage.

He told Greg, "Do you know what there is no real day that I hope that feeling always lasts, I still get the same butterflies before I walk on stage and then as soon as I walk on stage I feel like it’s home. It’s a weird one, it’s like those butterflies are telling me that you are still as excited as you were when you were that 15-year-old kid when you first started off."

A legend in the music world, Craig has been on the scene for over 20 years - releasing seven records in the process. Receiving a plethora of music award nominations, Craig is probably best-known for his songs 'Re-Rewind' with Artful Dodger, '7 Days' and 'Fill Me In'.

More recently, Craig has teamed up with Blonde on 'Nothing Like This', as well as releasing huge hit 'When You Know What Love Is' earlier this year, which he co-wrote with Gary Barlow of Take That. It sounded amazing at Hits Live Birmingham!
