Ahead of the 40th anniversary double-bill landing on Saturday 5th September, the extended trailer for Casualty's landmark episode has now landed.
Featuring Holby City Hospital favourites like Flynn Byron, Dylan Keogh, Stevie Nash and Siobhan McKenzie, the 45-second trailer reveals that St James’ Hospital is the site of a major explosion that has thrown the city of Holby into chaos.
The BBC say: 'As paramedics search through rubble at the now devastated hospital, those back at Holby City Hospital must hold everything together in a large-scale rescue operation that will push some of the show’s most beloved characters to their physical and emotional limits.
'Dylan (William Beck) battles personal tragedy while leading his team through their darkest hour, and Stevie (Elinor Lawless) and Flynn (Olly Rix) find themselves fighting for survival in a race against time in a tense and emotionally charged storyline that promises drama on an unprecedented scale, unlike anything Casualty has tackled before.'
