WATCH: Ed Sheeran made his Game of Thrones cameo appearance last night

The seventh series of Game of Thrones started last night. The fantasy HBO show premiered on Sky Atlantic at 2am this morning (17th July) and will be repeated on the channel tonight at 9pm.

The season’s premiere featured Ed Sheeran’s eagerly awaited cameo and you can watch it below…

Ed stars in a scene with Maisie William’s character Arya Stark, Ed is seen sitting with a group of soldiers playing on guitar and singing. Arya rides past the group on a horse and remarks “It’s a pretty song, I’ve never heard it before” to which Ed replies “It’s a new one”.

Ed was clearly pretty excited to star on the show, sharing a pic from his scene with the caption ‘throwback to the time I was a Lannister’ and a snap of him on set with Maisie Williams. Plus Ed shared a video of him and a mate watching the episode.

Series seven of Game of Thrones continues on Sky Atlantic.
