Love Island security alert as intruder breaks into villa
A YouTuber filmed his route into the villa
Bosses of popular ITV2 dating show Love Island have been forced to bring in extra security after a YouTube prankster successfully broke into the villa out in Mallorca whilst the Islanders were sleeping.
Omer Majid filmed himself during a live broadcast as he attempted to get into the villa, with his followers witnessing the YouTuber in a corridor.
After successfully removing the intruder, a spokesperson for ITV told MailOnline: "Last night a security breach was identified and an intruder was removed from the Villa with immediate effect.
"The safety of both our islanders and our production crew remains our primary concern.
"As part of our stringent COVID safety measures, the Villa area that was trespassed has been fully deep cleaned before being made accessible again to the islanders and crew."

No getting drunk
According to 2017 contestant Kem Cetinay, contestants are allowed one small glass of wine or beer a night with dinner.
Being drunk's an absolute no-no, so sex while intoxicated is obviously against the rules too.
No masturbating
No solo sex acts are allowed in the villa, though obviously allowed to get jiggy with their partner.
No nudity
Contestants cannot be naked in front of other islanders, since the villa is technically a public space.
No books, phones or magazines
The islanders are given snazzy phones from their sponsor, Samsung (what else would they get their texts on?); but anyone sneaking their own mobile phone into the villa would risk being removed.
Same goes for books and magazines, too.
No inappropriate language or behaviour
This could cover homophobic, racist or aggressive language and is quite the broad rule. Inappropriate behaviour is again at producers' discretion, and would include violence and sexual harassment.
No discriminating against staff
Any Islanders who are rude to crew could run the risk of being booted off the show, and contestants must NOT take their mic packs off unless instructed to.
Follow the rule book
Simple. Contestants must obey the rule book they're provided with; which includes information on safe sex, consent and how to know if you're following the guidelines.
Omer has now broken his silence about the intrusion to the Daily Star, admitting it was 'very secure'.
He told the publication: "I literally flew here just to do that from the UK. I found the area vicinity through internet searches. Then I drove around for about five hours the day before scouting the location trying to find an entry.
"Then we himself and his camera man heard a noise and saw a flash light. At this moment we got scared and stood still and I could just hear radios as they looked for us.
"Luckily the security on the other side moved away as they spotted my camera man and told him to get out. I then ran for the villa and called my friend so he could put me back on the live stream."
The villa is now reportedly on a 'code red' security alert as series seven continues to film.
