Despite now being in its 12th series, Love Island is showing no signs of slowing down! In fact, this year’s show has been packed with more drama than ever before, with producers stepping up their game to deliver some of the most gripping and entertaining moments we’ve seen in years.

As fans will know, there's been a love triangle forming with Shakira, Helena and Harry for a number of weeks now, and despite it looking like Harry had finally settled with Shakira, picking her during Monday night's recoupling, things took another twist during the iconic Heart Rate challenge.

Awkwardly for Harry, it was 29-year-old Helena who got his heart racing the most, with Shakira quick to quiz her man on the moment.

On Tuesday night's (1st July) show, Shakira tells Harry: “I’m not mad at you, you’ve not done anything wrong because you actually were really respectful, it’s just annoying as you barely touched each other.”

Keen to reassure Shakira, Harry replies: “I was out of breath with yours… I had my heart beating out of my chest.” He says of Helena: “I couldn’t even tell you what she did…”

Shakira tells him: “Everyone is saying to me there’s something there with Harry and Helena…”

Harry responds back: “But I’m telling you there’s not."

He then asks Shakira: “You think I wanna be with Helena?”

Shakira replies: “I think you should go to the Hideaway and s--g each other and get it out of your system or something. There’s so much sexual tension…”

HOWEVER, just as it looked like Harry was off the hook, the next morning during a chat with the girls, Shakira learns of what really got his heart racing so fast...

Alima reveals of the challenge: “Helena whispered on his ear, ‘I can’t wait to f--- you’ and I think that’s the reason why his heart went like that. He knew that she whispered that and I think he should have told you last night…”

Yasmin adds: “He replied something back to her.”

Toni interjects: “Do you still wanna f--- me?”

A raging Shakira then says: “Now I know why everyone’s f---ng whispering and laughing and expecting me to kick off at him. Helena can f--- off!”

After seeing Helena suck Harry's finger and whisper the telling words into his ear during Monday night's episode, fans of the show were quick to take to social media to react.

One wrote: 'It's gonna kick off tomorrow', with another adding: 'Bring on movie night 😂'. Another wrote: 'God it's really going to go down when Shakira hears about this'. (sic)

Elsewhere on Tuesday night's episode, two brand new bombshells enter the villa!

Check out all of the rules Islanders must follow in the villa:

No getting drunk

According to 2017 contestant Kem Cetinay, contestants are allowed one small glass of wine or beer a night with dinner.
Being drunk's an absolute no-no, so sex while intoxicated is obviously against the rules too.

No masturbating

No solo sex acts are allowed in the villa, though obviously allowed to get jiggy with their partner.

No nudity

Contestants cannot be naked in front of other islanders, since the villa is technically a public space.

No books, phones or magazines

The islanders are given snazzy phones from their sponsor, Samsung (what else would they get their texts on?); but anyone sneaking their own mobile phone into the villa would risk being removed. Same goes for books and magazines, too.

No inappropriate language or behaviour

This could cover homophobic, racist or aggressive language and is quite the broad rule. Inappropriate behaviour is again at producers' discretion, and would include violence and sexual harassment.

No discriminating against staff

Any Islanders who are rude to crew could run the risk of being booted off the show, and contestants must NOT take their mic packs off unless instructed to.

Follow the rule book

Simple. Contestants must obey the rule book they're provided with; which includes information on safe sex, consent and how to know if you're following the guidelines.

Love Island continues every night at 9pm on ITV2/STV2.
