Disney+ subscribers were left frustrated last week after tuning in to watch Spencer Matthews' brand new documentary called Finding Michael, only to discover it hadn't been uploaded to the streaming platform on Friday 3rd March.

Despite the former Made In Chelsea star doing promo for the documentary in the run up to the original release date, Disney+ bosses made a last minute decision to postpone the show, leaving fans gutted.

Disney+ wrote on Twitter: 'We’re sorry that the debut date for Finding Michael has shifted on Disney+. We will let you know as soon as we have new timings for its launch. This will be in the near future.

'Thanks for your patience. 💙' (sic)

Spencer, who worked with both Bear Grylls and Nirmal Purja to try and find the body of his brother Michael who disappeared 23 years ago, also took to his own social media accounts to apologise to fans at the time.

He wrote: 'Apologies to everyone trying to view Finding Michael on Disney+. The debut date has shifted and we’ll update you as soon as we have the new timings.

'Thank you for all of your support'. (sic)

Although Disney+ and Spencer didn't give a reason for the delay, reports are suggesting bosses made a last minute decision to postpone the documentary in order to re-edit the show due to dead bodies being shown.

When is Finding Michael out on Disney+?

Finding Michael was originally due for release on Disney+ on Friday 3rd March. However, the release date was shifted just hours before it was due to be released.

Disney+ later released the documentary on Tuesday 7th March.

What is Finding Michael about?

Directed by Tom Beard, Finding Michael focuses on reality TV star Spencer Matthews heading off to Everest in an attempt to try and find his brother Michael who disappeared 23 years ago on the mountain.

In May 1999, Michael Matthews became the youngest British climber to summit Mount Everest at the age of 22 in May 1999, but he was lost in heavy snow during his descent, and his body has never been found.

Spencer, who was just 10-years-old when his older brother went missing, was sent a photo of a body which is thought could be Michael, leading him to team up with Bear Grylls and Nirmal Purja to track Michael's journey and hopefully bring his brother's body home.

Spencer's wife Vogue Williams also features in the documentary, as she supports her husband at home whilst looking after the couple's three children, Theo, Gigi and baby Otto.

Is there a trailer for Finding Michael?
