Big Brother's George breaks silence after being removed from the house
He was removed for ‘unacceptable language and behaviour’
Last updated 9th Oct 2025
After being given a formal warning by bosses earlier this week, 23-year-old Parish councillor George Gilbert was later removed from the Big Brother house. George, who was up for this week's eviction alongside Cameron B, Elsa and Richard, has now broken his silence on the matter.
What has George said?
Releasing a statement following his departure, George said: “As a flag bearer of freedom of speech I never hesitate to discuss and question any topic regardless of how contentious it may be.
"Sadly, the boundaries of what is deemed offensive are subjective and I evidently went too far this time by crossing their line one too many times.
“It is a shame that specific debate could not be had and that it has had to end like this. Infamy, infamy, they’ve all got it in for me.”
Why was George removed?
A Big Brother spokesperson said of his departure: 'Following repeated use of unacceptable language and behaviour, George has been removed from the Big Brother House with immediate effect and will no longer participate in the programme.'
Big Brother went on to post on social media to confirm this week's voting had closed for now. They wrote: 'George has left the Big Brother House, so the vote has been closed. Your previous votes won’t count, but a new vote with Cameron B, Elsa and Richard will open tomorrow and you will get 5 more votes. #BBUK'.
What did he say?
George's recent language will not be shown on air, as his comments are contrary to broadcast standards, but his removal will be shown during the episode on Thursday 9th October.
In a further statement given to The Tab, a Big Brother spokesperson said: "George was previously given several warnings for unacceptable language.
"Most were not broadcast as the language used was contrary to broadcast standards, but one was seen during Monday’s episode of Big Brother.
"Before entering the Big Brother House, the rules regarding language and behaviour are explained to all Housemates and they receive training in respect, dignity and inclusion.
"Friday’s eviction will continue as planned – details of which will be explained during tonight’s episode of Big Brother: Late & Live."
What was his warning for?
George, who was a late arrival into the house alongside Feyisola, Richard and Cameron B, was given a formal warning by bosses earlier this week for language towards fellow housemate Sam.
After being called to the Diary Room, Big Brother said to him: "George, before you entered the Big Brother House, the rules regarding unacceptable language and behaviour were explained to you. Big Brother needs to talk to you about a conversation at the dining table last night.
"During a game of Truth or Dare, when asked about your least favourite qualities of other Housemates, you said the following, 'Sam, um too…', you then went on to mimic Sam using both noises that mocked the way Sam talks and body language that included limp wrists.
"Do you understand how both your language and behaviour could be offensive to Sam, your Housemates and the viewing public?"
George replied, saying: 'We did have a conversation about this, Sam pulled me to one side. I have apologised.
"I don't want to make anyone feel like that, so, I will be walking on eggshells around Sam from here on in."
Big Brother then said: "George, Big Brother thinks your language was unacceptable and could cause offence and is therefore issuing you with a warning."
Following the nominations on Tuesday night's episode, George was put up for eviction by his fellow housemates after receiving six noms.
