P&O Cruises Memorable Moment Award
Chris McCausland and Dianne Buswell's iconic performance of 'You'll Never Walk Alone' in the 2024 series of Strictly Come Dancing won an extra special award at this year's BAFTAs.
The P&O Cruises Memorable Moment Award honours the impact of television in the UK and its power to entertain, inform and bring the nation together. The nominations were compiled by an esteemed independent jury of influential TV critics, and is the only award which is voted for by members of the public.
The Handmaid's Tale actor, Joseph Fiennes, presented the award, which Dianne Buswell accepted on behalf of the pair. In her acceptance speech, she joked Chris had commented that following 22 years in comedy, he wins a BAFTA for dancing! She told the audience: "He said 'Di, I'll take it, but please tell them...It hurts!'"
