The annual I'm A Celebrity question!

If you watch I'm A Celebrity Get Me Out Of Here! the way we do, you've probably never actually noticed that popular hosts Ant and Dec always have their watches covered when they are presenting the show.

However, a number of eagle-eyed fans have noticed this strange event over the last few years, with the Geordie duo being inundated with messages online about why they aren't allowed to show the time on camera.

On last night's 2023 launch show, Ant alluded to the fact his watch was covered up, resulting in the annual question.... 'Why do Ant and Dec have their watches covered up on I'm A Celebrity?'

Of course, as the question is asked every year, many die-hard viewers were quick to respond on social media, revealing it's so the celebrities in camp don't know the correct time.

Back in 2017, I'm A Celebrity: Extra Camp hosts Joel Dommett and Scarlett Moffatt told a viewer: "It's so the campmates don't know the time, so all the watches are covered for the people that see the campmates all the time, like Ant, Dec and Medic Bob."

Well, that's that cleared up for another year! 🤣

Whilst Marvin Humes, Nick Pickard and Jamie Lynn Spears were forced to jump out of a helicopter, Sam Thompson, Danielle Harold, Grace Dent and Fred Sirieix took part in a terrifying heights trial, with Josie Gibson, Nigel Farage and Nella Rose being tasked with winning tokens for the rest of the group.

With gruesome trials coming thick and fast so early on, fans can't wait for the rest of the series!

I'm A Celeb airs every night at 9pm on ITV/STV.
