P!nk is one of the biggest stars in the world. After bringing her 'Summer Carnival Tour' to the UK in 2023 with an amazing setlist, she did it all again in 2024! The talented singer and songwriter has classic hits like 'So What', 'Raise Your Glass' and 'Get The Party Started'.

Along with music, she has also tried her hand at acting and winemaking - buying her very own vineyard in 2013! P!nk's ninth album 'Trustfall' came out in February 2023, featuring 'Never Gonna Not Dance Again', 'Trustfall', 'When I Get There' and 'Runaway'. Now, let's take a look at everything you need to know about the singer - like what is her real name...?

What is Pink's real name?

Although we all know her as Pink, stylised as P!nk, her real name is Alecia Beth Moore. Born to nurse Judy Moore (née Kugel) and insurance salesman Jim Moore, Pink is 5ft 4in and surprisingly says her favourite colour is actually black!

Why is Pink called Pink?

She started using her stage name Pink in the clubs, a nickname that she had apparently had for quite some time. While there are a few stories surrounding the reasoning behind her name, many seem to stem back to her childhood when she was bullied and kids pulled down her trousers. Because of this humiliation she turned 'pink' and the name stuck.

According to a report, it was soon after that the film Reservoir Dogs came out and Mr Pink was the one with the 'smart mouth', so the name took on a different meaning.

How old is Pink?

Pink's birthday is 8th September 1979, and she is 45-years-old. When a Twitter user trolled P!nk over her age in 2018, she had a brilliant comeback to the tweet, receiving praise online from her loyal fanbase.

On her 45th birthday, in 2024, P!nk shared a photo on Insta with a huge cake which she managed to get all down her top.

Is Pink on tour?

She sure is, but she's just finished the UK leg! In November 2023 she announced she would be heading back out for her 'Summer Carnival 2024' tour!

During P!nk's 2024 tour she performed in several locations she'd not been to for several years including Cardiff, London, Liverpool, and Glasgow, before she continued her tour in mainland Europe.

While in Liverpool, the singer met up with a little girl called Dolly Pink, who was born at a P!nk concert five years ago. Dolly's mum gave birth under the seating area at Anfield and was reunited by

In 2023, P!nk's 'Summer Carnival 2023' tour saw her perform five UK dates in stadiums across the country, plus two dates at London's iconic Hyde Park as part of American Express Presents BST Hyde Park.

P!nk shared a super sweet video to reflect on her BST performances, writing: 'It is the joy of my life to play with all of you. I am never not grateful.'

Before that, the last time P!nk toured in the UK was in 2018-2019 for her 'Beautiful Trauma World Tour', which saw her play 159 dates all over the world. It was the first time that she'd been on tour in the UK for five years.

Described as ‘her most sensational show yet’, the pop superstar performed many of her very popular songs, as well as having special guest Vance Joy, known for his top 10 hit in 2014, ‘Riptide’.

If you've ever seen Pink live you'll know that she puts on an amazing show, often using ropes in her performance to hang from the ceiling! She works hard at keeping her body in shape for her performances, telling Food and Wine magazine in 2015: "I work out four and a half hours a day: a two-hour show, plus yoga, cardio and a rig check with the flying apparatuses."

PINK

In 2013, Pink was the highest-earning touring female artist, grossing a whopping $20 million thanks to 'The Truth About Love Tour' and its 111 sold out dates (of an 114 date tour).

P!nk's other tours include 'The Funhouse Summer Carnival' in 2010, the 'Funhouse Tour' in 2009, the 'I'm Not Dead Tour' in 2006-2007, her 'Try This Tour' in 2004 and her first one, the 'Party Tour' in 2002.

One was 'True Love' and was written about her husband Carey Hart, the other was from SpongeBob Squarepants.

Pink's film roles

In 2011, she provided the voice for Gloria in Happy Feet Two, after Brittany Murphy - who voiced the character in the first film - sadly passed away in 2009.

Does Pink make wine?

Yes! Pink has her own vineyard, producing several types of wine. The label is called Two Wolves and according to the website it currently produces Cabernet Franc, Cabernet Sauvignon and Petit Verdot. Pink bought the vineyard back 2013, but during the pandemic she decided to concentrate on her organic wine brand further.

Speaking to WSJ Magazine at the time, Pink said: "I have this touring life, my home life and then I make wine. The workload is huge, it’s just me and another woman who make all of this wine. I’m just a full-time mama during all of that."

She went on to say that each harvest they make 114 cases of the popular wine, which usually sell out in a day!

In October 2022, P!nk appeared in some of the vineyard's social posts, captioning the photos: 'Our very last pic of harvest 2022. It has been a challenging year for some, probably most of us. But by paying attention to every detail, resting on our laurels a bit because of our intentional farming, we have had an exceptional year here at Two Wolves.

'Across-the-board there was a light crop this year, and an intense week of heat shut our vines down, But because for us it’s quality over quantity, we were able to wait it out, and it looks like we will be fermenting through Thanksgiving.

'Never a dull moment. And that’s what keeps us on our toes. Happy Happy Holidays. With love from all of us to all of you. Shout out to all my badass women in wine 🍷'.

Who is Pink married to?

Pink is married to a former professional freestyle motocross racer, Carey Hart, who she met at the 2001 X Games in Philadelphia.

Four years later she proposed to Carey by holding up a sign that said 'Will You Marry Me? I'm serious!' as he raced. He missed it the first time he went around, but as soon as he noticed it, he pulled over and said 'yes'! The pair married in Costa Rica in 2006 and despite a rocky patch in 2008, which resulted in the iconic and award-winning hit single 'So What', they had marriage counselling and are still together.

In January 2024, P!nk and Carey celebrated their 18th wedding anniversary, with P!nk paying tribute to her husband sharing some photos of the couple.

Pink's children

Pink and Carey have two children together, Willow Sage Hart born in 2011 and Jameson Moon Hart in 2016.

Speaking to Hello! magazine about her daughter's unusual name, Pink explained: "I grew up near one (willow tree). It is the most flexible tree and nothing can break it – no wind, no elements. It can bend and withstand anything. I love that sentiment and I want that for her."

She went on to say: "Sage is cleansing and sacred and it sounds great with Willow."

The singer had been vegetarian since she was 15-years-old, however when she was pregnant with her first child she started to eat chicken again: "She (her daughter) just demanded chicken wings and fingers!" the singer said.

When it came to naming her second child, Jameson Moon Hart, her inspiration for his unusual name was very different. "My dad’s name is James, and my brother’s name is Jason," she told Access Hollywood, continuing: "Carey and I are both Irish, Carey’s middle name is Jason, and Jameson – we like whiskey. That’s a no brainer."

In 2019, Pink revealed that she would not be posting anymore photos of her children during an interview with Ellen DeGeneres.

P!nk's tattoos

Like many celebrities, Pink has a lot of tattoos. She currently has more than 20 tattoos including a barcode on the back of her neck, and one dedicated to her late dog saying, 'Sir Corky Moore 89-03', a West Highland terrier who died in 2003.

On her left forearm she has a tattoo dedicated to another dog - Elvis, her bulldog who tragically drowned in her swimming pool. The tattoo is a verse from the Bible which reads: 'A time to weep, a time to laugh, a time to mourn, a time to dance, sleep in peace my darling, I release you.'
