Jonas Blue burst onto the scene back in 2015 with his cover of 'Fast Car' by Tracy Chapman featuring singer Dakota. At the time the song peaked at Number 2 and was kept off the top spot by former One Direction singer ZAYN's 'Pillowtalk'.

Since then he has continued to carve his way in the music business with several big hits such as 'Perfect Strangers', 'Mama' and 'Rise'. Find out more about the DJ Jonas Blue.

What is Jonas Blue's real name?

Jonas Blue's real name is actually Guy James Robin. Jonas explained the reason behind his stage name on MySpace.com.

He said: "The music I was making originally was very different to the Jonas Blue sound. So I knew I had to create a new artist name. I was also DJing before I started producing and a lot of music that I was playing was coming from Sweden. And I had this idea of taking a classic Swedish name: Jonas.

"A friend of mine offered a Calvin Klein spin-off, Jonas Klein. But for me it didn’t sound quite right. I shot a music video for my previous project and the lead actress’ name was Tuesday. I thought it would be cool to call myself Jonas Monday or Jonas Tuesday, but it didn’t quite sound right either.

"I was out once, going to my normal job at the time and had this random idea that it can be a colour. I went through all of the colours: Jonas Orange, Jonas Green, and finally came up with Jonas Blue. It totally clicked."
