It's all over!

Fans of Married At First Sight UK were over the moon earlier this week when they learnt series six stars Marilyse and Franky had remained together following the experiment, despite having their issues.

Although it was revealed Franky had moved to the same town as Marilyse and met her teenage children, the pair have now released a statement confirming they've split.

Sharing a picture of the pair from their wedding day, 47-year-old Franky wrote on Instagram: 'Hi Guys. Unfortunately, Marilyse and I have broke up. It’s very sad because we get along great and have gotten through a lot of obstacles but it just hasn’t worked out.

'We have been mature enough to remain friends because we still respect each other and been through so much together in such a short time.

'Let me tell you that this woman has a huge heart which I adored and I will always appreciate all the support she gave me when trying to adapt to a new life.

'Thank you Maz your a star! You and your family have been a very special chapter in my life. X' (sic)

Mum-of-two Marilyse also shared the sad news, writing: 'Life After The Experiment…

'Unfortunately @fitcoachfranky & myself have separated in recent weeks. But, we remain good friends. We went through a crazy experience together over a 6 month period which we will never have with anyone else.

'So many special memories. 🙏

'I wish you Franky lots of happiness, you are an awesome, kind hearted, incredible guy! ❤️

'Thank you for sharing this experience with me.

'Thank you to everyone who’s supported us on our journey. The messages have been so overwhelming and we can’t thank you enough for your love & kindness! We are so very grateful. 🥰🙏'. (sic)

The former couple's co-stars were quick to comment on the posts. Relationship expert Paul C Brunson wrote: 'I love you both ❤️❤️'.

Morag, who split from Luke after the experiment, then added: 'Big hugs and love babe!! ❤️'.

A fan then wrote: 'Aw that's so sad! Was rooting for you guys 😢 Good luck to both of you ❤️', with another writing: 'Such a shame! You look and seem so good together! X'. (sic)

Check out which Married At First Sight UK couples are still together:

Adam and Tayah - MARRIED

Adam and Tayah proved love at first sight most definitely IS a thing! These two immediately hit it off on their wedding day, with the pair even saying the L word on their honeymoon.

After zero issues throughout the process, viewers were over the moon when Adam proposed to Tayah for real during their final vow renewal.

Since the final episode, Adam and Tayah have been very loved-up on socials, and the couple welcomed their first child together in October 2022, a baby girl called Beau Emily Aveling. The pair got married for real during a festive ceremony in December 2023, and one year later they announced they are expecting their second baby!

Daniel and Matt - SPLIT

Despite seemingly falling for each other very quickly, Daniel and Matt had their struggles due to Matt living in Leeds and Daniel being from Northern Ireland. The pair remained together during the final vow renewal, and appeared seriously loved-up on social media, even looking to move in together in 2022.

Sadly, Matt and Dan took to their socials in December 2022 to reveal that they had split, admitting that they were better as friends, and that the split was amicable. In November 2024, the pair reunited at an official MAFS party, showing they are still good friends!

Luke and Morag - SPLIT

It's safe to say Luke and Morag didn't get off to the best start during the MAFS process. After Morag confessed she didn't find her husband attractive, the couple struggled with intimacy.

However, by the end of the process, Luke and Morag had seemingly found a spark, with the pair choosing to stay together during the final vow renewal.

Despite this, the pair confirmed during the reunion show they'd split up, with Morag admitting Luke hadn't phoned her since the process ended. However, Luke later said it was because Morag still didn't care for him.

Marilyse and Franky - SPLIT

These two shocked viewers during the final vow renewal when they revealed their true feelings for each other, with Franky even admitting he was ready to move back to the UK from Dubai.

Franky later gushed about his girl on social media, admitting he'd moved to the same town as Marilyse and met her children.

However, on Friday 8th October, the pair both released statements confirmed they'd split. They remain good friends.

Josh and Amy - SPLIT

There's no denying the fact that Josh and Amy had a whirlwind experience during the MAFS experiment. After the pair had initial doubts over their age-gap, the couple experienced a number of fiery arguments and disagreements.

However, by the end of the process the pair seemed closer than ever, with Josh opening up about his feelings towards Amy during the final vow renewal.

The pair have been pretty quiet on social media since the final and during the reunion show they confirmed they are no longer together.

It's not all bad news though, as well as Adam and Tayah being engaged, the show's first ever gay couple Daniel and Matt have confirmed they have plans to move in together in Northern Ireland next year!

Meanwhile, if you're missing your fix of MAFS, series eight of the Australian series started this week, bringing some serious drama already!

Married At First Sight Australia airs on E4 at 7.30pm, Monday-Friday.
