Body found in search for missing man from Maidstone

A body has been found in the search for a man who was reported missing yesterday.

Kent Police said in a statement "At around 2pm on Monday 21 October 2024, the body of a man was found in countryside near North Pole Road, Barming.

The man was pronounced deceased at the scene.

Formal identification has yet to take place, but the family of a 49 year old man from Maidstone, who had been reported missing on Sunday 20 October, have been informed.

The death is not being treated as suspicious and a report is being prepared for the coroner."
