Lorry fire extinguished on the M11
Fire crews confirm the blaze has now been extinguished near junction 10 in South Cambridgeshire
Fire crews from multiple stations tackled an accidental lorry fire on the M11 in the early hours of this morning (Friday).
At 5:33am on 29 November, crews from Sawston, Cottenham, Cambridge, and Burwell, along with a water carrier from Newmarket and a crew from Royston, were dispatched to a lorry fire near junction 10 of the M11.
Firefighters wearing breathing apparatus used hose reels and small tools to extinguish the blaze. Crews had the situation under control, returning to their stations by 7:50am.
A fire service spokesperson confirmed, “The cause of the fire was accidental.”
