Body found in search for missing man in Leighton Buzzard

Officers searching for a missing man from Leighton Buzzard have sadly found a body in the Grand Union Canal near Pitstone.

The discovery was made following extensive searches by officers from Thames Valley Police's Marine Unit and volunteers from Buckinghamshire Search & Rescue.

Although formal identification has not yet taken place, they believe this to be Benjamin, aged 37.

The death is currently being treated as unexplained but not suspicious, and a file will be prepared for the Buckinghamshire Coroner.
