Body found in search for missing woman from High Wycombe

Officers searching for a missing woman from High Wycombe have located a body in the Lucas Wood area.

Working alongside Thames Valley Police, the woman’s body was located by volunteers from Buckinghamshire Lowland Search & Rescue following extensive searches.

Although formal identification is yet to take place, officers believe it to be the body of 50-year-old Fay, who was reported missing last Friday (September 12).

Her family have been informed and Thames Valley Police say their thoughts are with them at this extremely upsetting time.

The death is currently being treated as unexplained, but not suspicious, and a file will be prepared for the Buckinghamshire Coroner.
