With just days to go until the live final in London on Friday 24th April, I'm A Celeb: South Africa is heating up, with even more celebrity camp mates now having been evicted from the jungle.

However, on last night's show (Tuesday 21st April), the camp had quite a shock as Corrie legend Beverley Callard announced she was being forced to quit the show due to 'medical reasons'.

She told the camp: “Hi guys, I’ve just got something to tell you all. I didn’t feel very well this morning, I had a bit of a funny turn… and they've said I can't come back in. I’ve got to go home.

“I don’t want to go. I’m absolutely gutted. I wanted to finish. I wanted to prove that older women could do it.”

Although the rest of the camp was in shock, they were quick to offer their encouragement, with Scarlett telling Bev: "We don't want you to go but your health is more important."

The news comes amid Beverley's ongoing battle with breast cancer, which she revealed earlier this year, after filming I'm A Celeb: South Africa. In an update shared on social media on Friday 17th April, Bev told her followers that surgery "went really well" and that she was awaiting further results to determine her next steps.

She's now focusing on getting well for Friday's live final in London.

After Bev departed, the remaining celebrities competed in a trial which saw footballer Jimmy Bullard head home too. But not before chaos erupted in camp, after Adam accused Jimmy of trying to take him with him.

The episode followed the shock departures of Seann Walsh, David Haye, and Gemma Collins, with more evictions expected this week.
