ITV reveal status of Dancing On Ice following latest lockdown
The show is scheduled to begin on Sunday 17th January
Last updated 7th Jan 2021
If you cast your minds back to the first lockdown back in March 2020, you'll remember a number of TV shows such as the soaps, Love Island, Peaky Blinders and Line of Duty to name a few, were forced to halt filming and therefore cancel upcoming series.
However, bosses were later able to return to filming with strict measures in place, meaning the 2020 series of both I'm A Celebrity and Strictly Come Dancing were able to go ahead at the end of the year.
With the brand new series of Dancing On Ice expected this month, many viewers of the show have been left wondering if it will go ahead, now that the UK is back into stricter measures with COVID-19 figures at an all time high.
Don't panic though! It sounds like ITV bosses have put strict measures in place to ensure the 13th series goes ahead.
A source told the Daily Mirror, "We have stringent protocols in place to ensure the health and safety of all our contributors and staff which are routinely monitored and updated to reflect the current guidelines."

It's understood there will be NO studio audience for the 2021 series, instead, the contestants will be sat socially distanced in the crowd to cheer on their fellow skaters.
Reports also suggest ITV are slightly worried about the standard of this year's celebs, simply due to the fact they've not been able to train for as long as previous years ahead of the first live show.
With the likes of Billie Faiers, Faye Brookes, Jason Donovan, Rebekah Vardy and Denise van Outen all taking part in the popular skating show, Holly Willoughby and Phillip Schofield will return as hosts.
The new series, which will launch on Sunday 17th January, will also see the return of the expert ice panel of Torvill and Dean, John Barrowman and Ashley Banjo.
