Following Talking Heads' concert film Stop Making Sense re-release last year, it returned to selected cinemas at the beginning of this year, and now it will return once again, this time on IMAX. The film celebrated its 40th anniversary last year, which also saw the band reunite at Toronto International Film Festival.

This time around the remastered version of the film will be shown on IMAX for one day only, on 2nd October.

The announcement was made by A24 in an Instagram post which read: 'Burn down the house on the world’s biggest screen. A24 x IMAX Present: Stop Making Sense, the seminal @talkingheadsofficial concert doc, back in @IMAX for one night only on October 2. Get tickets → imax.com/a24'.

A synopsis for the film reads: 'The greatest concert film of all time, Stop Making Sense brings to the screen Talking Heads at Hollywood's Pantages Theater in December 1983: David Byrne, Tina Weymouth, Chris Frantz, and Jerry Harrison, alongside an ecstatic ensemble of supporting musicians. Renowned filmmaker Jonathan Demme (Silence of the Lambs) captures the band at their exhilarating best, in this new and complete restoration for the film's 40th anniversary.'

Announcing the release of the 4k remastered version of the film last year, a clip was shown where David Byrne can be seen collecting his famous oversized suit.
