Roger Waters to broadcast May 2023 concert live at UK cinemas
Featuring Pink Floyd classics
Pink Floyd co-founder Roger Waters will broadcast a concert next month live at UK and global cinemas.
The This Is Not A Drill live broadcast will bring Roger Waters’ Thursday 25th May concert at the O2 Arena Prague in the Czech Republic, to over 1,500 cinemas across more than 50 countries.
The worldwide cinema event is directed by Roger Waters collaborator Sean Evans, and it will give fans the chance to see and hear his critically acclaimed live show in full cinematic glory.
Six days later, UK fans will also get to see Roger Waters in person when his first farewell tour kicks off at Birmingham Utilita Arena on Wednesday 31st May. The arena tour also takes in Glasgow OVO Hydro and two nights at London’s The O2.
The live cinema broadcast is in partnership will Trafalgar Releasing, and it will feature 20 tracks including Roger Waters’ solo material plus Pink Floyd classics like ‘Comfortably Numb’, ‘Us & Them’ and ‘Wish You Were Here.’
Roger will be joined on stage by Jonathan Wilson, Dave Kilminster, Jon Carin, Gus Seyffert, Robert Walter, Joey Waronker, Shanay Johnson, Amanda Belair and Seamus Blake for the Prague performance.
