Since her debut album in 1983, Madonna has brought out 14 studio albums and countless hits, establishing herself as a household name. While we still love listening to songs like 'Vogue', 'Like A Prayer' and 'Into The Groove', there could be some brand new Madonna material on the way.

Her latest album was 'Madame X' which came out in 2019, and earlier this month, Madonna revealed she was keen to release new music. The singer started a livestream on Instagram to chat to fans and during the conversation she revealed her desire to make new music.

She commented: "Oh my god. I’m so dying to make new music, you can’t even imagine. I feel like I’ve been deprived of air."

Although it seems making new music isn't the priority right now, as Madonna's attention has been turned to the making of her new film. She explained: "It takes so long to make a film. It takes so long. The whole process, budgeting it, and casting. It’s like, ‘Can’t I make music while I’m doing?'."

The film in question is being written by Madonna about her life and has been described by her as a "visual autobiography". Speaking to the Associated Press, the 'Like A Virgin' singer talked about the process of making this film: "It's a pretty crazy experience so far, I’m just in the writing process, and just deciding which stories to tell, how much detail to go into, which characters to develop. It's really been a long and arduous process, but it's been really therapeutic as well."

She also revealed that she would like Midsommar and Black Widow actress Florence Pugh to play her in the film, although nothing has been decided for sure yet.

The music legend did later reveal that she is working on music with other artists but that it's a "secret". Throughout her career Madonna has worked on many collaborations including songs with Ricky Martin, Britney Spears, Annie Lennox, Justin Timberlake and Timbaland, Prince, 2Pac, and Missy Elliott. We can't wait to see who she works with next!
