Kylie Minogue celebrates 35 years of her debut album 'Kylie' with a throwback video
It features some classic tunes
Kylie Minogue is the Pop Princess who just keeps giving, but while she might have a huge hit with 'Padam Padam' out right now, she was also topping the chart back in the 80s.
Celebrating 35 years since the release of her debut album 'Kylie', the Australian singer shared a video featuring many of her old music videos, while clips of her classic hits played.
Including her songs, 'I Should Be So Lucky', 'Got To be Certain', 'The Loco-Motion', the video starts with a radio presenter saying: "The fantastic top-selling album from Kylie Minogue, featuring all the hits..."
She captioned the video: '35 years since my debut album Kylie 💖 and what a journey it has been!!!! From my first demo recording when I was 17, my first single just after turning 19 and everything that has followed. THANK YOU for being a part of this life-long adventure. Feeling incredibly lucky lucky lucky today 😉🥰😘'.
Since sharing the video, Kylie has received more than a thousand comments with blogger Aaron Calder writing: 'I remember buying this 35 years ago. I still listen to it today. You're a legend!', and DJ Damon Sharpe commenting: 'And you are still more relevant than ever congrats queen'.
A fan also said: 'That album had 7 singles of pure enjoyment and I still love them to this day!'
Over the years, Kylie has released 15 albums, with her 16th 'Tension' on the way in September. She's also released 93 singles, including four Top 5 hits from her debut album, 'I Should Be So Lucky', 'Got to Be Certain', 'The Loco-Motion', and 'Je ne sais pas pourquoi'.
Kylie started out her career on the popular TV soap Neighbours as Charlene Mitchell and returned to the series for its last episode in 2022, along with Jason Donovan, who played her on screen husband Scott Robinson.
