Last month, the iconic music festival Glastonbury announced a stellar line-up, featuring the likes of Cyndi Lauper, Coldplay, and Paul Heaton on the Pyramid Stage, with Shania Twain appearing in the Legends slot.
Now, the festival have announced further acts for the Field of Avalon, including Lulu and Toyah and Robert.
Revealing the acts on X, Glastonbury wrote: 'We're excited to reveal the fantastic @FieldOfAvalon line-up for Glastonbury 2024!'
Along with legends like Lulu and Toyah, the Field of Avalon will welcome acts such as All Saints singer Shaznay Lewis and The Feeling.
The Field of Avalon is described by the festival as 'an island in the sea of Glastonbury', the field features the Avalon Stage and Avalon Cafe, with a diverse line-up of musicians, artists and 'fellow pilgrims'.
Back on the 14th March, Glastonbury took to social media to reveal the first release of performers for the 2024 festival, saying they still have 'many more acts and attractions still to be announced'.
In a statement, the festival said: "Coldplay will make their first Pyramid Stage appearance since 2016 on the Saturday night, with the only European festival appearance of their record-breaking current world tour, in the process beating their previous joint headliner record (with The Cure) and becoming the first act to headline Glastonbury five times."
Adding: "This year’s Sunday teatime legend will be Shania Twain, who makes her first trip to Worthy Farm for what promises to be one of the most popular sets of the weekend."
Taking to Instagram to share her excitement at the news, Shania Twain told her fans: 'The legends slot at GLASTONBURY 2024 - Another jewel in my crown!! 👑 I feel so honoured and so excited about this one! Thinking about what to wear already 💅 and tell me, what should we sing together?! Let’s make history this summer with this ultimate dream performance!! 🤩 #legendsneverdie @glastofest'.
Over the last few months there have been many rumours around whether the Spice Girls will be announced for the festival, with Mel B teasing some really good news with all five members. However, at present nothing has been confirmed by the band, or the festival.
Glastonbury takes place 26th - 30th June 2024, at Worthy Farm in Somerset, where it has been held since it started back in 1970.
