Silo: What happened in season three episode three - 'A Dark Web'?

Silo season three arrived on Apple TV earlier this month and has been gripping viewers with its weekly episodes. As the series got off to a dramatic start, set in the Silo three months after Juliette returned, we also get to find out about the Before Times, as Congressman Daniel Keene and reporter Helen Drew discover more about the mission to Iran following the dirty bomb on US soil.

It's still early on in the season, with the first episode of season one arriving on Friday 3rd July, followed by episode two on Friday 10th July. In the second episode we got to find out more about the suspect doctor treating Congressman Daniel's sister, who was the sole survivor of the Iran mission and is being given medication so she loses her memory. Episode three - 'A Dark Web'

Juliette asks her guard to give her space to ‘walk the Silo’ by herself, she sends Shirley a message about Lukas Kyle, asking for more information. However, Shirley hides the note from Knox, who she is in a relationship with.

Congressman Daniel arrives at a memorial for one of the pilots that died on Charlotte’s mission, and speaks to the pilot’s dad, who says that the mission communications were switched out and downgraded to comms that were discontinued years ago. As the comms weren’t encrypted it meant that anyone could record them, leaving Daniel with an idea to try and find it.

Helen also loses her job and teams up with Daniel to find a recording of the mission. Eventually they turn up at a hacker’s place where he’s hiding the recording, which we, as viewers, don’t get to hear, but both Helen and Daniel listen to it and are shocked.

Back in the Silo, after Robert and Juliette encounter each other at Robert’s son Anthony's school, Robert and Camille are keen to discuss how to deal with Juliette and Camille even suggests releasing Vitamin D+ into the water supply, which would cause all residents of the Silo to lose their memories.

Robert and Anthony then spend some time bonding, when Anthony gives his dad the pez, telling him: “You gave this to me so I wouldn’t feel worried, remember?”

Juliette continues her search for Lukas Kyle, who many believe has already died, but she thinks he might be hiding in the mines. Juliette isn’t the only person who thinks that, as Camille decides to order a fumigation of the mines without warning, leaving hundreds of miners running for their lives.

Despite everyone trying to escape the mines, Juliette and Knox decide to go in and try and find Lukas. In the end, after Juliette passes out from the fumes, she’s saved by a masked miner, who turns out to be Lukas, but he runs off before Juliette can say anything to him, chased by guards.

To make matters worse, as the Sheriff arrives at the mine entrance, he looks at an unidentified body and realises it is Orla Kent, the Supply Shadow who has been a missing person.

Season three episode four will arrive on Friday 24th July 2026.
