Body found during search for missing Dunfermline pensioner

Norma Sinclair, 71, disappeared on Tuesday during freezing conditions

A body has been found during the search for missing Dunfermline pensioner, Norma Sinclair.

The 71-year-old was last seen in the Townhill Road area of the Fife city on Tuesday night.

However, on Thursday morning, police were made aware of a body discovered near Townhill Loch.

Officers have told Norma's family before formal identification takes place.

The death is not believed to be suspicious and a report will be sent to the Procurator Fiscal.

Police Scotland has thanks the public and partner agencies for their assistance in the search for Norma.
