Strictly judge Motsi Mabuse will MISS this weekend's show

She has to self-isolate

After Craig Revel Horwood missed last weekend's Strictly Come Dancing after testing positive for Covid-19, it's now been revealed that fellow judge Motsi Mabuse will be absent on Saturday 27th November.

Motsi, who will also miss the results show on Sunday 28th November, took to social media to reveal she's self-isolating after being pinged by the NHS Track and Trace app.

Explaining why she needs to self-isolate despite being double vaccinated, Motsi said: ‘I am gutted to say I will have t miss this weekend on Strictly… yesterday, I was contacted by NHS Test and Trace as being in close contact with someone on Sunday 21st Nov who has since tested positive.

‘Being double vaccinated & booster as I am, would normally mean exemption from isolation under the ‘close contact’ rules, but unfortunately German EU vaccines are not recognized and neither is my booster in this instance – so I must follow UK Government Guidance and can only return after 30 November 2021 to UK.’ (sic)

She later added: ‘Our health is the most important thing and luckily I have been tested multiple times this week and am negative. I am healthy, I am with my family that’s what matters!' (sic)

At the time of publication, it's not yet been revealed who will replace Motsi on this weekend's panel.

However, following Craig's diagnosis last week, singer and actor Cynthia Erivo stepped in alongside Motsi, Anton DuBeke and head judge Shirley Ballas.

With the final due to take place on Saturday 18th December, a number of celebs are still fighting for their places in the show each week.

After finding himself in the bottom two last week, CBBC host Rhys Stephenson will be hoping to get full marks, as well as Dan Walker, Tilly Ramsay, John Whaite, Rose Ayling-Ellis and AJ Odudu.
