19 of the best music documentaries and how to watch them
From Avicii to Lady Gaga
Music documentaries offer a fascinating glimpse into the lives, careers, and creative processes of some of the world's most iconic artists including the likes of Lewis Capaldi, Taylor Swift, Lady Gaga, Beyoncé and more. Whether you're a die-hard fan or just curious about the behind-the-scenes world of pop music, there are plenty of great documentaries available to watch.
Most recently we've seen the release of another documentary about the late Swedish DJ Avicii called Avicii - I'm Tim. The film follows the successful DJ through interviews with his parents, close friends and other DJs and artists including David Guetta and Coldplay's Chris Martin.
Over the past few years we've also had documentaries from Lewis Capaldi, Ed Sheeran, Olivia Rodrigo, Robbie Williams, and one called Camden which is four-part series about well-known artists such as Black Eyed Peas and Mark Ronson.

Gaga Chromatica Ball

US streaming service HBO Max aired a TV film special, titled Gaga Chromatica Ball, showcasing Lady Gaga's seventh headlining concert tour 'The Chromatica Ball'. The film, which was directed and produced by the singer documents her performance at the Dodger Stadium, in Los Angeles, in September 2022.
