Emmerdale's Michelle Hardwick has announced the lovely news that she is expecting her second child with wife Kate Brooks. Michelle and show producer Kate married in 2019, welcoming their first child the following year. And now, Michelle has taken to social media to reveal their family is expanding!
Sharing a sweet snap of their son Teddy looking very excited in front of a screen reading 'COMING THIS WINTER... Baby Brooks #2', Michelle wrote: 'We are super excited about our gorgeous news! I’m 20 weeks today and can almost rest a cup of tea on my bump 👶🏼♥️ #bigbrother'.
Friends, fans and family flooded the comments with their excitement and well-wishes, with co-star Lisa Riley writing: 'FINALLY!!! I can tell my Dad and Brother now 😆😆😆😜😜😜 love to you both, you know how elated we are for you!! So much love 💛💛💛' (sic), and Amy Walsh adding: 'Awwwww babe!!!!! It’s so exciting!!! 🙌❤️' (sic).
Coronation Street's Tony Maudsley also added: 'WooHooooooo!!! Congratulations AGAIN you three!!' (sic).
Just seven months after Michelle, who plays Vanessa Woodfield, tied the knot with Emmerdale producer Kate Brooks, the actress announced that she was pregnant with the pair's first child. The couple later welcomed their baby boy Edward (Teddy) into the world on Friday 9th October 2020.
Michelle announced the couple's lovely news on social media, sharing a super-cute photo alongside their dog Fred. Captioning the shot, Michelle wrote: 'Fred's big brother duties commence in October #BabyBrooks'. (sic)
The couple's friends and fans were quick to congratulate the pair. Former soap star Gemma Atkinson wrote: '❤️❤️❤️❤️ SO happy for you all!', with Amy Walsh writing: ' Oh it fills my heart with joy!!!! ❤️'. (sic)
Gogglebox star Izzi Warner wrote: 'Awww amazing news congratulations 💙💖xxx', with her sister Ellie adding: 'Massive congratulations 👏🏻✨💖'. (sic)
