Rumours have been swirling over whether Emmerdale actress Fiona Wade is in a relationship with her former co-star, Simon Cotton. After months of speculation, Fiona, who plays Priya Kotecha on the soap, has seemed to confirm the relationship in a VERY loved-up snap on her Instagram profile. She posted a photo of herself looking into her mystery man's eyes, simply captioning the post with a yellow heart emoji.

Although it's hard to tell who the man is as his face is quite obscured in the photo, many publications have reported that Fiona has been in a relationship with fellow actor Simon - who played Farm Estate client Hugh Bryant on the soap last year - for a number of months.

Plenty of Fiona's followers took to the comments to express their happiness for the star, writing, 'At last we see whatā€™s putting a smile on that beautiful face!' and, 'This is beautiful! So happy for you,' whilst another commented, 'Beautiful moment captured right there.'

According to the Express, Fiona spoke out about her romantic life back in March this year, admitting that she was dating, "Iā€™m with someone right now. He's an actor and writer based in London.

"It's fairly new, we've been together since last year and he's a very wonderful guy, but I've kept it quiet. I just wanted time to get to know him ā€“ he's very special."

Fiona also admitted that she was considering having a family, revealing that she'd "definitely like a family" of her own and that it's not something she's "thought about massively" as she's been quite "career-oriented so far" - but said "maybe I should" think about it.

Emmerdale continues tonight on ITV at 7pm.
