The Monterey Five are back and we'll soon be gifted with another trip to the sandy beaches of California. After that shocker in the series finale (which those of you who've read the book knew would happen in the end) what will come of Big Little Lies' main characters?
We know that Perry was an awful man who certainly deserved what happened to him, but will the truth come out in season 2? They lied to police about what really happened at the Trivia Night to protect themselves and Bonnie, but a new character is on the horizon to stir things up a little.
We've put a list together of the all important questions ahead of the new series.

Big Little Lies is a HBO series featuring Reese Witherspoon, Nicole Kidman, and Shailene Woodley. It's based on a novel of the same title by Liane Moriarty which tells the tale of three mothers whose seemingly perfect lives take a dark turn.

What happened in Big Little Lies season one?
Big Little Lies starts with the three main characters, Jane, Madeline and Celeste. They're all taking their kids for their first day of school. Due to the kids all being of similar ages, the three strike up a friendship.
It soon becomes clear that all three of them have their own problems: Celeste is physically abused by her husband and Madeline is resentful that her daughter from her previous marriage is growing close to her ex-husband's new wife, Bonnie. Meanwhile Jane was left to raise her son Ziggy on her own.
Jane tells them that Ziggy is in fact the result of a rape by a man named “Saxon Banks” when Jane was 19-years-old. Celeste and Madeline realise that the father is Perry's cousin, Saxon Banks, but decide to keep it from Jane.
Celeste starts seeing a counsellor and rents an apartment for herself as her marriage becomes even more violent. Ziggy is accused of bullying Amabella, though he denies it and it turns out it's Celeste's son Max who has been bullying the kids in the class, which worries Celeste that it could be due to him seeing the abuse from her husband Perry.
Perry found out that Celeste was leaving him for good so decided to follow her down to the steps where she was meeting up with Madeline and Jane. Jane got a good look at his face and immediately knew he's the one who raped her and is Ziggy's dad.
Perry attacks the women and Madeline's ex husband's wife Bonnie comes out of nowhere and shoves Perry over the edge of the balcony to his death.
Who choked Amabella in Big Little Lies?
Ziggy had been taking the blame for being the class bully, but it wasn't him who had been doing the bullying. The real person who had been bullying Amabella told her that she would "be killed dead" if she told anyone. When asked about it, Ziggy pulled up a class photo and pointed to Max, meaning it was Celeste's son who was the class bully and threatened Amabella.
