Freya Ridings is a British singer-songwriter who had success with her 2017 song, 'Lost Without You' and her 2019 song 'Castles'. 'Lost Without You' was Freya's breakthrough single reaching the Top 10 in the UK, with the music video having 48 million views on YouTube. The song was her second single from her self-titled album, 'Freya Ridings'.

She was born in North London in the UK, and grew up in the Palmer's Green area.

Yes, she's announced a headline tour in support of her upcoming third album 'Mother of Pearl' in 2026. She'll tour the UK and Ireland in September and October.

Freya also performed a series of summer shows for 2025. In a post on social media on Easter Sunday 2025, she said: 'Happy Easter 🐣 Summer Shows 2025! Since releasing 'Lost Without You' Freya Ridings has performed on BBC Sports Personality of the Year Awards (2018) and The Greatest Dancer (2019). As a follow-up to 'Lost Without You' Freya released her singles 'You Mean the World to Me' and 'Castles', followed by her self-titled debut album.

Freya's album was incredibly successful, reaching Number 3 in the UK. It featured 12 songs, including singles 'Lost Without You', 'Castles' and 'Love Is Fire'. She also performed at the 40th BRIT Awards in February 2020, having attended the BRIT School from the age of 16.

Did Freya perform over the Coronation weekend?

Freya was due to perform over the weekend of the Coronation of King Charles III. The singer was announced for the Coronation Concert on Sunday 7th May 2023, which took place at Windsor Castle and saw performers including Katy Perry, Take That and Lionel Richie take to the stage.

However, Freya sadly had to pull out of the concert due to being unwell.

Did Freya perform at Wimbledon?

In 2022, Freya did perform at Wimbledon. Playing a white grand piano, the singer performed her hit 'Lost Without You' on Centre Court.

Freya released her second album 'Blood Orange' on 28th April 2023, the singer took to Instagram to share a video to her fans. In the video she thanked her fans for their support and said: "Guys, I'm so excited to say that my album 'Blood Orange' is finally out now!"

She sure does! Freya even gave Hits Radio's Fleur, James and Matt an insight into her writing process backstage at Hits Live, revealing that she uses her phone to write new tracks. She said: "As long as you’ve got your voice memo and your phone, that’s all you need really. You just sort of stream of consciousness.

"Sometimes the less instruments the better - I used to be always sat at the piano in my parents' living room where the keys are crumbling off, but now I’ve actually got my own piano which is great!"

Does Freya Ridings have a YouTube channel?

She does! As well as posting her own official music videos and acoustic versions of her songs, the singer posts covers of other artists' songs including Taylor Swift's 'Exile', David Bowie's 'Heroes', Billie Eilish's 'Bad Guy' and Olivia Rodrigo's 'Drivers License' to her YouTube channel.

Harry Styles confirmed in January 2026 that he would be releasing his fourth album in March. The album called 'Kiss All The Time. Disco, Occasionally.' was released on 6th March and features the lead single 'Aperture'. It will be supported by a huge tour later in the year, when he will be performing a record-breaking 12 dates at Wembley in London.

BTS have now released their comeback album 'Arirang', named after a traditional Korean folk song. On the day the band released their album, they also released their first single from the album 'SWIM', much to the excitement of their fans.

RAYE - 'This Music May Contain Hope'

RAYE announced in January 2026 that her second album would be entitled 'This Music May Contain Hope' and would be released on 27th March 2026! She shared the news on Instagram alongside the album artwork, which shows her holding onto a rope and opening a door in the sky which shows the album's title as if it's the Sun. Fan-favourite 'Where Is My Husband!' appears on the album, as well as emotional track 'Click Clack Symphony'.

Dermot Kennedy - 'The Weight of the Woods'

In January, Dermot Kennedy announced he would be releasing his album 'The Weight of the Woods' in April. The album was created between Ireland and Nashville, and the singer has described the album as "organically" Irish, without trying to force it, he also revealed despite doing work on it in Nashville - home of country music - it wasn't a country album.

ZAYN - 'Konnakol'

Along with announcing the release date for his new song 'Die For Me', ZAYN revealed he would be releasing his fifth solo album called 'Konnakol' in April. The album has now arrived and it's a huge hit with fans. The unusual title means 'the South Indian Carnatic art of performing complex percussion syllables vocally, acting as a rhythmic language for composition and education'.

Melanie C - 'Sweat'

In October 2025, Melanie C announced she will be releasing a new album called 'Sweat' in 2026. The album will include 13 songs including the title track as its lead single and is the singer's 'most euphoric record to date'.

Westlife - '25 - The Ultimate Collection'

Release date: 8th May
Following the hugely exciting news that Westlife will be going on 'The 25th Anniversary World Tour' in 2026, the band announced a new album called '25 - The Ultimate Collection'. The album features many of the band's biggest hits along with some new material recorded by all four members of the band. Originally due for release in February, the date was put back until 8th May due to 'some unavoidable scheduling changes'.

The Pussycat Dolls - 'PCD' and 'Doll Domination' re-issues

Following their reunion and tour announcement, The Pussycat Dolls will be reissuing their albums 'PCD' and 'Doll Domination', featuring hits like 'Don't Cha', 'Beep' and 'Buttons'.

Niall Horan - 'Dinner Party'

Niall Horan will release his fourth solo album later this year. The album will feature 12 songs, including the title track 'Dinner Party', which is about the first time he met his girlfriend Amelia Woolley. The singer also announced a tour to support his album taking place later this year.

Myles Smith - 'My Mess, My Heart, My Life.'

Myles Smith has announced an album called 'My Mess, My Heart, My Life.' Following the announcement of the album, the singer revealed the songs are very personal to him, and he has anxiety about the album. He said in a statement: 'I keep telling myself I'm proud of it, and I am. I really am. But there's this anxiety that's come back that I haven't felt in a while. It's strange, because I thought I'd got better at dealing with it. Maybe I have, but it's still there.'

Bebe Rexha - 'Dirty Blonde: The Visual Album'

Bebe Rexha will be releasing her album 'Dirty Blonde' this summer. The record is a visual album and features 13 songs which she has already recorded the music videos for. She joined Hits Radio Breakfast to celebrate the release of her song 'New Religion', telling them how she recorded all the music videos in just three days.

Olivia Rodrigo - 'you seem pretty sad for a girl so in love'

After much anticipation, and three years since her last album, Olivia Rodrigo has announced her third album will be called 'you seem pretty sad for a girl so in love'. The album will include the lead single 'drop dead', released on 17th April.
