Cardi B is going around smashing music records all over the shop. Cardi B, who gave birth to her daughter Kulture in July, has become the first female rapper to have three Number 1 singles.
The 25-year-old from Brooklyn scored Number 1 singles in her native US with her debut single, 'Bodak Yellow' and her second, 'I Like It', featuring J Balvin and Bad Bunny, breaking the record for being the first female rapper to have TWO Number 1 singles.
However, as a featured artist on Maroon 5's new single, 'Girls Like You', she's now broken her own record, scoring three Number 1s as the track hit the top spot.
Taking to Instagram, Cardi - real name Belcalis Marlenis Almánzar - posted a screenshot of the news that the track had peaked on the charts with the caption, 'Not too long ago I was dancing for dollars,' alluding to her past as a dancer.
She later uploaded a video with the caption, 'WE MADE IT !WE MADE IT !WE MADE IT ! WE MADE IT @maroon5 I NEED A GIRL LIKE YOU !!!!!!!🎉🎉🎊🎊🎊🎊🎊🎊🎊🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉.' sic

In the video, she said, "We out here in Paris and I’m so happy because Girls Like You is number one! This is very funny because my verse almost didn’t get approved because I already did two pop records and my team felt like, 'Yo, it’s too early in your career to do pop, pop, pop, you don’t really got a lot of urban out.'
"But I was like, 'Yo trust my judgement! This is a hit!' And for some reason, when I heard this song for the first time, it made me want to cry. Maybe because I was pregnant with a girl and the words are just so beautiful.
"And we’re here, number one! It took us a while because that damn Drake blocking us! But we here!"

Fans were overjoyed for the musician, taking to the comments section on both the video and the photo to leave message of congratulations for Cardi. Even fellow female rapper Missy Elliot got involved, sending her best wishes to Cardi on Twitter.
But that's not the only good news that Cardi has this week, as it's being reported that Maroon 5 are going to bring her on during their set headlining next year's Superbowl - a VERY prestigious gig in the musical world.
Although Maroon 5 haven't yet been confirmed as the headliners, music sources are pretty certain that they'll do it, even though an NFL spokesperson told Metro.co.uk, "It’s a Super Bowl tradition to speculate about the performers for the Pepsi Halftime Show.
"We are continuing to work with Pepsi on our plans but do not have any announcements to make on what will be another epic show."
