Camila Cabello has recently released her fantastic third solo album 'Familia', which includes her hit with Ed Sheeran, 'Bam Bam', so it's no surprise that the singer is in high demand at the moment.

Appearing on James Corden's Carpool Karaoke, the 'Havana' singer opened up about how her mum brought her into the US when she was just seven-years-old, her real reason for auditioning on The X Factor, and whether she's slid romantically into any DMs since becoming single - which she answered while taking a tense lie detector test.

Camila shared a clip of the show to her socials saying: '#CarpoolKaraoke was so fun @j_corden 🎶 Tune in tonight at 12:37am EST to watch'.

Camila might be a huge pop star now, but that wasn't always the way, as the singer told James how her mum brought her into the US when she was just a little girl, she revealed the only belongings she had with her were a diary and a Monsters Inc. doll.

The singer then opened up about her rise to fame and why she decided to audition for The X Factor, where she was put in a group with the other members of Fifth Harmony, back in 2012.

Telling James: "I was 15, I was a huge One Direction fan, and I was like The Voice, (or) X Factor, and I was like, well, One Direction will be at X Factor, I don't know if they'll be at The Voice."

She went on to say: "This is really embarrassing, and I can obviously only say this because it was 10 years ago, but I was literally like, I'm auditioning for X Factor because I'll marry Harry Styles!"

Then, admitting that it wasn't really like marriage, but she really did think she would become a singer and they would fall in love.

Things then got serious on the show when James decided to hook Camila up to a lie detector test! Grilling her on topics such as her music, whose music she prefers (Ed Sheeran's or Harry Styles') and whether she's slid romantically DMs since becoming single.

After a long pause Camila admitted: "It's not as simple as a 'yes' or 'no', I'll say 'no', on a technicality."

However, the test said she was lying! 👀

James continued with the questioning, asking if anyone verified has slid into her DMs, to which she replied "Yes", but she wouldn't reveal who.
