When Queen Beyoncé Knowles-Carter was announced as having joined the cast of Disney's live action The Lion King remake, fans of the original animated film breathed a sigh of relief. Despite many being dubious over whether The Lion King really needed a reboot, Beyoncé's casting meant that it MUST be pretty darn good.

And when she was announced as playing none other than Nala - main character Simba's love interest - we got even more excited at the prospect of her stunning vocals belting out 'Can You Feel The Love Tonight?'... Which we've now actually heard a snippet of, thanks to the trailer.

Now that the film's release is less than a month away, the hype is almost unbearable - especially now that the full cast have been announced! So the fact that Disney have released a serious of photos of the cast alongside their live action counterparts will come as VERY welcome news.

Taking to Twitter, the official Disney page shared a series of photos of the main cast staring down their animated animal avatars, alongside the simple caption, 'The pride'. Enjoy!

"I don’t want to give too much away about that, they do not want us talking about it. I will just say that honestly, it made me cry and I was not expecting that."
