Of course, if you are a fan of Irish band Westlife, you'll probably know that it was Shane's mum Mae who called up Louis Walsh and asked him to take notice of Westlife!
Louis, who managed the band for a number of years, revealed the news in an interview, saying, "She rang me and said how good her son and the group were, and for some reason I believed her.
"Every mother says their son is brilliant. I believed Mae Filan."
Our thoughts are with Shane and his family at this difficult time. ❤️
