Just as her accent alludes to, Joanna is from a small town in Swansea, Wales, called Treboeth.
Who is she married to?
Joanna is married to former Emmerdale actor James Thornton (born James Russell). The pair met when they both appeared in TV show David Copperfield back in 1999, but it wasn't until a year later that they were properly introduced by a mutual friend.
Joanna and James got married in 2003.
Is Joanna pregnant?
Not right now! Joanna announced in August 2021 she was expecting her fourth child with her husband James.
Admitting the pregnancy was a 'surprise', Joanna wrote on Instagram: ''Well, this is a surprise!! Baby number 4 on the way! It’s going to be a busy Christmas! 😊🥳 #pregnant #babyontheway @jamesthornton_'. (sic)
Joanna's husband James also shared the same picture, writing: 'My wonderful wife @iamjoannapage is pregnant and doesn’t she look amazing!!! We are having baby number 4! #almostafiveasideteam #nosleep'. (sic)
Joanna later gave birth in December 2021.
How many children does she have?
Joanna has four children with her husband James Thornton, two daughters called Eva and Boe, and two sons called Kit and Noah.
Eva
Their first daughter, Eva was born in February 2013. Joanna, who was 34 at the time, wrote on social media: 'We are delighted to announce that Eva Madelief Russell was born 15th Feb, 10:58am, weighing 6lbs 8ozs at The Lindo Wing. She's adorable!'
Kit
Joanna and James then had a son, who they called Kit. He was born two years after Eva, on 1st April 2015. In a post on X (formerly Twitter), she wrote: 'So happy! Kit James our baby boy was born yesterday at 4:14pm weighing 8lbs! He's beautiful!'
Noah
Joanna and James welcomed a second son back in December 2016, announcing their lovely news on social media at the time. Joanna wrote: 'Our beautiful baby boy Noah Wilder Russell was born Tues the 13th at 8:51am, weighing 7pounds 3. Welcome to our gang Noah! We love you xxx'. (sic)
Proud dad James added, 'Christmas has come early for us! Baby number 3 is here! Our beautiful baby Noah arrived Tues 13th 8.51am 7lbs3. He is amazing X'. (sic)
Boe
Joanna welcomed her fourth child on 12th December 2021. Sharing the news on Instagram, she wrote: 'Welcome to our family Boe Willow Russell. We love you with all our hearts 💕 @jamesthornton_’ (sic)
Joanna often shares photos and videos of the family going about their day on social media, along with their two dogs Lola and Bess. We love this adorable picture of her eldest three taken by the coast in 2023.
Not forgetting their youngest, daughter Boe, who appeared in this picture holding mummy's hand, on the same day. It was captioned: 'Windswept blonde bear ❤️ #surfbaby'.
In the summer of 2025, Joanna went on a family trip to Shropshire, which she documented in a sweet video montage on Instagram. In it, we see Joanna, her husband and their children playing games and enjoying the outdoors together.
Has Joanna written a book?
Yes! She released a memoir in September 2025 entitled 'Lush', and it became an instant Sunday Times bestseller! In recent years, Joanna has pursued her love for presenting, fronting shows such as Shop Well For Less, The Pet Show and more recently, Joanna Page's Wild Life on BBC Two.
Has she quit acting?
In October 2021, Joanna was misquoted saying she was ready to quit the world of acting due to her new found love for presenting.
However, after seeing the story hit the news, Joanna took to her social media accounts to confirm she's most certainly NOT quit acting.
