We all knew that Ed Sheeran is hugely successful. The pop star has had countless Number 1 songs and albums, and his tours just keep selling out! However, it has now been revealed just how much he earned last year and it is a MASSIVE amount.
Pushing Adele off the top spot, Ed Sheeran has now been revealed to be the richest solo artist in the world, as his company Ed Sheeran Ltd released its accounts over the weekend.
The accounts released reportedly show that the company made a gross profit of £27,376,900. When it comes to how much a day, it works out at £75,005 a day, or an astronomical £3,125 an hour!
Earlier this year, it was revealed how quickly Calvin Harris earns an average US salary and it was very quick! According to Magnetic magazine, who used Forbes' Electronic Cash Kings in 2017 chart, to calculate their findings, in just half a day, Calvin Harris would earn what a registered nurse does in a year. And, The Chainsmokers, who were much lower in the chart, would earn in 3.5 hours, what a minimum wage worker earns in a year.
Now swipe through THIS year's highest paid DJs according to Forbes:
10. Martin Garrix ($13,000,000)
In recent years, Martin Garrix has had a lot of success with his top 20 singles 'Scared to Be Lonely' with British singer Dua Lipa, and his 2016 collaboration with Bebe Rexa, 'In the Name of Love'. More recently he has released a number of other collaborations including 'Like I Do' with David Guetta and Brooks and 'Ocean' featuring Khalid. He also appears at festivals across the world.
