Pop star Camila Cabello won TWO awards at last night's MTV VMAs - one for Video of the Year ('Havana') and Artist of the Year. After taking home the gongs, Camila Cabello decided to tweet her past self, replying to a tweet she had posted six years ago! In the tweet from 2012, the young, aspiring pop star said, '#VMA2012 I wanna be there SOOOOOOO bad you dont understand #someday'. sic
Now, six years later, so much has changed! The 21-year-old pop star is now an MTV VMA winner and has retweeted her original tweet saying, 'YOURE NOT GONNA BELIEVE THIS SMOL CAMILA BUT: IN 2018 MADONNA IS GOING TO GIVE YOU AN AWARD FOR VIDEO OF THE YEAR AND YOUR ACNE WILL CLEAR'. sic
This recent tweet had now attracted a massive 54K likes and 17K retweets with fans leaving comments such as, 'congratulations my love, you deserve it a lot, you won the most important prizes when only a year and a half ago all this beautiful madness began, i love to accompany you and i will always, i love you so much and i so proud of you😭❤️ #VMAs #CamilaOnVMAS'. sic
During Camila's acceptance speech for Video of the Year she thanked all of her friends, family and fans as well as Madonna, who presented her with the award saying, "Madonna, I love you so, so much, I've seen every single music video and every single documentary of yours. You've inspired me so much, and for that reason this is a surreal moment."
As well as picking up the Video of the Year award, Camila also picked up the Artist of the Year dedicating her award to her fans. The 'I Know What You Did Last Summer' singer told the audience, "I'm fully aware that you never know when you're going to get a moment like this again and you never know when it's going to be the last time on this stage but the relationship I have with you guys, with my fans, is a forever thing."
She went on to praise the others in the category saying, "I wanna say it's incredible, I'm so honoured to be in a category with such incredible nominees, especially the female nominees that are in the category this year, Cardi B, Ariana, Nicki (Minaj)."
Many of these female artists have appeared in collabs this year, here are some of the best...

Back in 2012, Camila joined Fifth Harmony who were created on The X Factor US and saw huge success on both sides of the Atlantic, with hits such as 'Worth It' and 'Work from Home'. However, in late 2016 she decided to part from the group that made her famous speaking to Fault magazine Camila said, "I think the scariest part about it is leaving a successful project to pursue a new dream with a path full of questions of self-discovery that only you can answer."
And whilst she felt grateful to be part of the group she said expressing herself as an artist "became a necessity" and so she decided to leave.
Now take a look at how Camila Cabello did in our British slang quiz when we caught up with her earlier this year.
