Pop star Ariana Grande has shocked fans after she completely deleted her Instagram account. The singer, who is famous for hits such as 'One Last Time' and 'No More Tears Left To Cry', deleted her account soon after she decided to disable comments on a number of recent images - due to a number of debates in the comments between her fiancé Pete Davidson and her fans.

The debate started when Pete commented on one of Ariana Grande's photos saying, 'omg what a cutie'. sic The photo in question was of Ariana's late grandfather and she had captioned the photo, 'miss n love u forever my best friend #4years'. sic. After Pete's reply a number of fans thought he was being insensitive and left comments such as 'wrong timing' and 'stop sticking your nose in everything'. Pete later responded to some of the comments saying that he was talking about 'how cute her grandpa is'. sic

It was after this debate that Ariana decided to remove comments from her posts and soon after deleted her whole account.

At present it only appears to be Ariana's Instagram account which has been deleted and she is currently still very active on Twitter, having recently tweeted some cryptic messages such as, 'the energy u put out is exactly what u get back, please create a beautiful life for yourselves' and 'anyway'.

Whilst Ariana has totally deleted her Instagram account, Pete has deleted all of his photos, but left his account active. Although Ariana hasn't given full reasons for deleting her Instagram account she has replied to a fan on Twitter saying, 'yeh ! i’m prolly gonna post on der for a little while & take a breather from twitter & ig for a little. just sometimes can’t help but bump into some negative s--t that really can bum u out and it’s not worth it honestly. promised i’d always tell you. i love u sm ! be well & happy'. sic

Soon after fans realised Ariana had deleted her account, they were quick to ask what was going on, taking to Twitter...

Ariana and Pete recently got engaged after a whirlwind romance. After rumours surfaced that the couple were engaged, Pete addressed the rumours on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon, confirming that they were in fact engaged. Speaking to Jimmy Fallon the Saturday Night Live comedian said, "Being engaged to Ariana Grande is lit". He went on to say he found it weird that people were interested in their engagement, but he's noticed people bowing and tipping their cap. He also revealed that one person had even told him, "You give me hope"!

This year has been very busy for Ariana, not only has she got engaged, she also made a return to music nearly a year after the devastating Manchester bombing on the 22nd May 2017. The music video to her comeback single 'No More Tears Left To Cry' featured a bee as a tribute to those affected by the bombing. Since releasing her comeback single she has also released a number of other singles including her most recent, 'God is A Woman' and she is now less than a month away from releasing her new album 'Sweetener'.

Recently the singer also revealed a new look - lavender-coloured hair! Fans went wild for the photo which Ariana posted on her - now deleted - Instagram, leaving comments such as, 'A lavender queen!', and, 'Such a beautiful colour'.
