Hot on the heels of her first solo single 'Don't Say Love', Leigh-Anne Pinnock has now released her follow-up single 'My Love', which she said she wanted to 'start fresh' with.

Leigh-Anne released her new song on Thursday 7th September, along with a super cute video of her twins dancing along to the music video, which she has yet to release. In the video, the singer can be seen sitting in her living room scrolling through the apps on her TV, eventually playing her new music video.

As soon as it starts to play, the twins who are wearing matching yellow outfits jump up and start dancing. ❤️

Sharing a series of photos and videos on release day, Leigh-Anne told her fans: 'My Love is finally YOURS! I’m full of emotions but mainly EXCITED for you to finally listen and embrace me in my best self. I’m so thankful to everyone who made this song possible and a special thank you to @ayrastarr for jumping on this song. I cannot wait for you to see the video. It’s worth the wait! Link in my bio x'. Ahead of the song's release, Leigh-Anne sent an email to her fans writing her email, writing: 'This is a song I've been incredibly excited to share with you for so long. I wanted to wait and come with 'Don't Say Love' first because I knew there was a story that I needed to finish.'

She continued: 'I wanted to start fresh with 'My Love' and come with a new lease of life, almost like a rebirth, which continues through the incredible video we shot (more on that VERY soon). With the sound & energy of this song, I knew I needed an equally powerful woman to join me on this song and I've been obsessed with Ayra Starr for so long.

'I reached out to her to see if she'd be interested and I'm so happy that she said yes! I can't wait for you to see this video and I can't wait for you to hear this record. Let's f------ GOOOOOOO'. (sic)

Leigh-Anne also took to her socials to share a clip from her new song which features Ayra Starr, a Nigerian singer whose song 'Rush' went viral on TikTok last year, resulting in a presence in the UK chart.

Little Mix pal Jade Thirlwall commented on Leigh-Anne's post with fire emojis: '🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥', while songwriter Kamille wrote: 'this song😍😍😍❤️'. (sic)

A fan then commented: 'Already obsessed with this song and it hasn't even come out yet!!😍❤️'.

The story behind 'My Love'

Leigh-Anne told her fans in an email the story behind her song. "This song began life in one of my early writing sessions and from the first day, I knew it would transform into something magical," she explained.

"I really love Afrobeat music and knew that I needed to have someone who specialises in the genre help perfect this song so to have Magicsticks play a part in this made it all the more special.

"Then to have the incredible Ayra Starr too was truly the icing on the cake. The verse she delivered is nothing short of perfection. I'm so proud of this song and I really hope you guys love it as much as I do.

"Staying true to the origins of Afrobeats, I knew I wanted to shoot this video in Lagos and I'm so grateful to my team for making it happen.

"This is without a doubt the proudest moment on this solo journey so far and I'm obsessed with the final product."

Leigh-Anne added of working with Ayra: "When we wrote this song, I just knew it was something special, it perfectly captures the essence of who I want to be as a solo artist. That feel-good, powerful, and anthemic song - it’s all about celebrating self-love and embracing its incredible power, and when there was a discussion on a feature, I know Ayra was the only one who could embody and amplify this message."
