Downtown Radio announces its BIGGEST ever Christmas takeover

Downtown Radio is turning up the festive magic like never before, today announcing the station’s earliest and most ambitious Christmas programming in its history.

From Monday 24th November, right through until 10pm on Boxing Day, Downtown will flip to 100% non-stop Christmas music, becoming Northern Ireland’s official home of holiday hits for more than four glittering weeks.

Listeners across the region can look forward to a sleigh-ride of nostalgia, sparkle and seasonal cheer as Downtown brings round-the-clock festive favourites to the airwaves.

Downtown Breakfast's Gary & Glen will kick off the festive celebrations, with a special guest joining the team from 8am on Monday 24th.

From timeless classics like Nat King Cole, Wham! and Mariah Carey to modern Christmas hits from today’s chart-toppers, the station promises a playlist packed with joy, warmth and unmistakable Christmas spirit.

Whether decorating the tree, commuting to work, or gathering with family, Downtown aims to soundtrack the season with the songs listeners love most.

Throughout the Christmas takeover, the station will shine a spotlight on rising child poverty levels across Northern Ireland, supporting Cash for Kids Mission Christmas appeal.
