Hale Hat-Trick halts Dundela in Cup, as Linfield, Crues & Glentoran amongst others to progress

Ronan Hale was the hat-trick hero on Friday night for Cliftonville

Cliftonville clinched a 5-0 win on Friday night at Championship Dundela to seal progress in the Irish Cup sixth round.

Sean Moore opened the scoring for the Reds in the first half, before Hale made it two.

Just three minutes after the re-start Joe Gormley scored a penalty after Tony Kane had fouled Moore.

Hale notched his second to make it 0-4, and completed his hat-trick in the 74th minute, tapping home from close-range.

On Saturday, Linfield booked their spot in the next round with a 3-0 win over Warrenpoint Town - Andrew Clarke with a goal late on to seal David Healy's side win.

Crusaders enjoyed a 6-0 success over Dergview with Dean Ebbe (3), Jordan Owens, Philip Lowry and Johnny McMurray scoring.

Larne were 3-0 winners over Crumlin United, with Glentoran also going through.
