Northern Ireland marks another significant milestone in the Covid-19 fightback this week as Friday is set to see another substantial easing of lockdown restrictions.

All retail is set to reopen along with caravans and self contained tourist accommodation.

April, 30 will also see a return to outdoor dining, swimming pools, gyms will welcome people back for individual training and takeaways and off licences will see their curfews scrapped.

There are also changes to outdoor visits- with up to 15 people from three households allowed in private gardens.

An indicative date has been given for May, 24 for indoor hospitality and hotels as well as indoor visits and group exercise.

There will be another formal review of restrictions on the 13th May and 10th June but the Executive can make changes anytime.

And it is also expected travel within the UK will be discussed by Ministers this week.

Health Minister Robin Swann is thought to be bringing a paper about the common travel area to ministers today. (Tuesday)
