Carrick-a-Rede: famous north coast rope bridge NOT open for Easter

One of Northern Ireland's best-known tourist attractions will not be open for Easter
The Carrick-A-Rede rope bridge on the north coast has been closed since the pandemic struck more than two years ago
Hopes were high it would re-open this weekend but it is understood staff have yet to be recruited.
In a statement the National Trust said it was working hard behind the scenes to open as soon as it was safe to do so.
The Trust said: "The National Trust is preparing for the re-opening of Carrick-a-Rede following its closure for over two years.
"We’re excited to welcome everyone back to this special place and are working hard behind the scenes to open as soon as we are safely able to do so.
"We’re currently recruiting a full team to ensure every visitor has the best possible experience at the famous rope bridge and therefore cannot give a definitive date for when this beautiful site will be open to visitors at this time."

This is one seriously cool spot overlooking the Atlantic Ocean, the coffee is first-class too. There's no better spot on the coast to watching surfers catch a wave, the most idyllic sunsets or to even try out some yoga/qigong.
French Rooms, Bushmills
Nestled in the charming village of Bushmills sits the French Rooms, a sophisticated café/restaurant offering the most scrumptious menu. From delicate French pastries to mouthwatering Afternoon Tea and lunch options. A trip here is worth every penny!
Ursa Minor Bakehouse, Ballycastle
If you've got a sweet tooth, Ursa Minor is just for you! The team source fresh seasonal produce from local suppliers to create beautiful baked goods including sweet cakes and breads. The menu varies throughout the seasons depending on supplies, so keep your eyes on their social platforms before you visit.
