A man is recovering after being shot in the chest in Antrim.

The incident happened at a house in Greenpark Drive, shortly after 10.30 last night.

Police said they had received a report that the man sustained a gunshot wound to his chest after a shot was fired through the front door of the house.

He was then taken to hospital.
